To us, Spring means merging again with the Earth (naked or not) - getting back on hands and knees to reconnect with the living forces surrounding us, drinking in the cool fresh air and shaking out the cobwebs of winter. We hope you will be able to reconnect, regardless of whether it's through a yard full of 'projects' or discovering a new wood walk or heading out to gather nettle, bluebells or fiddleheads - hopefully you'll be able to do it with your Mum!
We're also looking forward to connecting with the Big World this month, via two of our annual traditions.
On Saturday May 11th, we're in Victoria with the Local General Store at Haultain Corners, celebrating their anniversary and the Oaklands Community Spring Street Party! We'll be there from 10 till 2 (or later, depending on the weather?) and we hope many lovely Victorians can stop by for a visit! No doubt there will be some Mother's Day specials, too!
Here in Cobble Hill, we'll be at the village hall for the Mill Bay Garden Club's ever- popular Spring Show & Sale - that's on Saturday May 25th, from 9 am - 2 pm. The competition is always fierce with the spring exhibits, an outdoors you'll find gardening stuff galore, from plants to books to... of course gardener's body care care of Dragonfly Dreaming Organics! Here's their Facebook page for more info on the event.
And if you need to stop by for a last-minute Mother's Day gift, just give me a call first so I am not out of reach - 250-743-8036 - probably digging in the dirt somewhere! Happy May, everyone!
